Biography:
Following ministry in the Metropolitan and PNW Districts (87-91), as
well as in Mali and Cote d'Ivoire (92-99), Janet & David accepted a
special assignment with Gatehouse Ministries.
Current
work/status: Janet and David house
parents at Gatehouse. Gatehouse will welcome another 8 MKs during
this 8th year of operations. The Kronbachs are also involved in the
summer Transition Programs and follow-up throughout the year with C&MA
college-age MKs. This year, Kronbachs are “tracking” with 25 C&MA MKs
who are entering their freshman year in college across the US this fall.
They are also developing materials for local churches and missionary
parents on the field.
Personal prayer requests:
Please pray for the Kronbachs as they balance
the needs of the growing Gathouse family, (including young MK couples &
“grandchildren” who are settling in Redding), with personal concerns for
their aging parents (in Seattle and Pennsylvania) and for the Kronbach
children, living in Seattle, Matthew (27) and Jeremy (26) and his wife,
Jenae.
Ministry prayer requests:
Please pray for Janet in her Parent Coach
training program. Pray also for the ongoing budgetary needs for
operations at Gatehouse and for the building fund. Pray for David
& Janet, as they prepare for ministry to missionary parents on the C&MA
Russia Field in April 2007, focusing on how to prepare their children
for their transition to college. Pray for the Kronbach’s ongoing
training and influence in the area of Member Care.

Update
Thank you to the many churches
and Alliance Women's groups who faithfully support us in giving and
prayer each month. Gatehouse could not continue ministering to
college-age Missionary Kids and their parents were it not for your
partnership.
Our purpose at Gatehouse is to provide a nurturing environment
of challenge, growth and potential for college-age Missionary Kids.
We are in our 7th year at Gatehouse. This year's Gatehouse family
includes MKs from Thailand, Mexico, India, Nepal, Spain, Germany and
Taiwan.
Be sure to check our website for our most current newsletters (under
multimedia-publications), our building brochure and our banner slide
show which shows pictures of life at Gatehouse.

Prayer
Requests/Answers to Prayer
We are so grateful for the responses to our recent mailing about the
Building Program at Gatehouse. We still have a long way to go, but
have begun receiving donations and pledges toward the building.
PLEASE CONTINUE TO PRAY for a great response.
In mid-October the City of Redding told us we needed an additional
acre of land in order to proceed with our building program. Praise
the Lord - the neighbor next door is gifting us an acre. The
surveyors are working on the lot line adjustment. PLEASE PRAY THAT
THIS PROCESS MOVES SMOOTHLY TO COMPLETION.
David visited the national office in early December where he
proposed details on a program of MK care within the C&MA. It was
very favorably received. PLEASE PRAY for wisdom in taking the next
steps in caring for more MKs across the nation.
We've had a GREAT first semester this year at Gatehouse. Each MK is
investing in the family dynamic, something we do not take for
granted! PLEASE PRAY for a good second semester, that God will allow
us greater impact than ever in the lives of the MKs in the community
and those with whom we have phone/e-mail contact.
Thank you for partnering with us in serving missionary kids and
their families in the area of member care!
